About

Hej, I'm Izabelle.
My path to design hasn't been the most traditional.

After high school, I was curious about different kinds of work and wanted to experience as much as possible. I worked in a wide range of roles, from aviation, retail and hospitality to schools, personal assistance and IT support, always staying long enough to properly learn each one.

Working closely with many different people has taught me to listen, adapt, ask questions and understand that people can have very different needs. These experiences have shaped the way I approach design today, with curiosity, persistence and a genuine interest in understanding people.

My path

Different experiences that shape how I approach design today.

Each one has taught me something about people, communication or problem solving.

  1. High school

    Musical theatre

Creativity, communication and becoming comfortable presenting ideas in front of others.

  2. Different roles

    Working closely with people

Experience from schools, personal assistance, service roles and volunteering taught me to adapt, notice needs that are not always expressed and avoid assuming that everyone experiences things in the same way.

  3. Four years in aviation

    Working at 35,000 feet

Reading situations quickly, adapting my communication and taking responsibility when situations changed quickly, including in a cabin leadership role.

  4. IT support

    Translating between people and technology

Helping users describe problems they cannot always identify themselves, asking the right questions and turning technical issues into understandable next steps.

  5. Industrial Design Engineering

    Bringing it together through design

Combining creativity, technical problem solving and an interest in how products, services and environments shape the way people behave.

I have learned to read situations, adapt and ask questions when the real need is not immediately clear. In design, I bring those experiences together with creativity and technical problem solving.
